Skating Treadmill and Strideboard


As most of you are aware, USA Hockey has decided to suspend treadmill training for non-NTDP players indefinitely.  There is no one reason, there are building security issues, building usage issues, liability issues, etc., etc., all of which are valid.  I am in the process of acquiring my own treadmill, and I have 2 facilities in the works, one at the Cube, and one about a mile away.  So please be patient, I will make treadmill training available again soon!
In the meantime, I am happy to continue stride mechanics training on the strideboards.  For the record, KNOW THAT YOU WILL ACTUALLY MAKE MORE PROGRESS ON THE STRIDEBOARDS THAN YOU DID ON THE TREADMILL!  The treadmill has all the bells and whistles, and it is definitely good for producing faster, stronger skaters, but players can still get away with bad habits on the treadmill.  The strideboards allow no room for error, and my 6-phase development program is second to none.  I use it each fall with the USA NTDP players, in fact, they are required to achieve at least Phase 4 before I will allow them on the skating treadmill.  It is by far the best way to supply the player with exceptional balance, alignment, power, and proper technique, BAR NONE.  With that said, here is how the strideboard sessions will work:

The sessions are 1/2 hour in length.  The cost is $20 per half hour session, same payment procedure as the treadmill, pay as you go, or pay for a package online.  The are the available dates/times for strideboard training starting Monday Sept. 13th, and are listed below in the calendar.

To sign-up, just e-mail me like you always have, and I will confirm availability.  As always, I will schedule one month at a time, cancellation policy remains the same.  The strideboard sessions will take place in the hallway between Locker room A and B.  Players should arrive about 10 minutes early to warm up, and shorts, T-shirt, and tennis shoes are the only things you need.  See you there!
